Fall is upon us!

I am so glad that Fall is finally here! Fall means colder weather, layering our clothing, Starbucks Pumpkin Latte, and decorating the house for Halloween! Last year I was stuck at work this time of year but now I am home with Kennidi keeping warm and having so much fun! I love to dress her up for the different holidays. She is so much fun! At the end of October Kennidi will be 11 months old! HOLY MOLY! Where did the time go?!?!? We are starting to plan her fabulous first birthday party now and all I can say is that its going to be amazing! Nothing but the best for our tiny one!

Anthony has been super busy with work the last couple of weeks. He got a new position with US Bank as a Small Business Specialist. What does that mean? It means that he isn't working retail banking anymore and will be able to come home every night by 5 and get off on Fridays around 2...WE LOVE THIS! He is a lot happier too...no more babysitting in the branch :)

We are just having so much fun with Kennidi and especially around the holidays! We can't wait for Halloween, Thanksgiving, her first birthday and Christmas..oh and Vegas the day after Christmas!

Oh and another good note, my brother and his wife are expecting their first baby in May! WAHOO! We are all super excited for them!!

Here are a few pics of Kennidi during Fall!!

What a fun week :)

I love how everything we do with Kennidi it is her first :) Last Saturday night we had my cousins Macey and Garry over for dinner. It has been awhile since we have been able to catch up and talk so it was really nice! We had bug fat steakes, salad, potato's, bread, wine and beer, and cheesecake for desert. It was too bad that my cousin's wife and my Aunt and Uncle weren't here but it was still nice to see them. Kennidi usually cries when she is being held by someone she doesn't know but she and Macey hit it right off! (I think we found a babysitter) Macey is so great with kids I just loved watching them interact.

This week has been pretty hot here so Kennidi, the dogs and I just kind of stayed in the house and cleaned/organized. I am definitely ready for the cool down that is coming and I'm welcoming it with open arms! Thinking of fall is really getting me excited for Thanksgiving, Kennidi's first birthday, Christmas and New Years! For the longest time, my family has traveled somewhere after the initial Christmas holiday but last year we got a special little bundle and didn't want to travel when she was that young! This year we are going to Vegas! I haven't been to Vegas for 2 years...that is a long time! We seriously used to go about 4-5 times a year. I'm so excited to take Kennidi there with us, and to take her to FAO Schwartz toy store! I think she already loves it-I got her Penolope, the FAO Schwartz dog, and she is all giggles when she sees her :) It is going to be so nice to go there and not have to worry about formula and a lot of baby food since Kennidi will be eating mostly our food at that point. I was talking to my mom about what stroller we should bring (we have a Bugaboo that my parents got us and Anthony got me a jogging stroller). She decided that she was going to buy ANOTHER stroller since we don't want to have a lot of wear and tear on the Bugagoo during the flight. She bought me the Juicy Couture stroller! I have wanted this FOREVER! It is so cute! Thanks Mom and Dad :)

Oh and Kennidi is official! Ok so she was since the day she was born but her passport came! WAHOO! Italy here we come!!!

What a great week we had!!

Last week was so much fun! Not only do I get to be with Kennidi all day, every day, but we had some good times with family and friends! We had a great time going out to dinner with my parents to Tsunami. Kennidi loved that she had chopsticks and was showing us how to use them, although our way is a lot cleaner and safer. Kennidi is such a good baby to take out with us. She never cries or fusses, she is just so happy all the time, especially when there is a camera and people to ooh and ahh at her :) what a ham!!

Thursday night was girls night! Amy is moving this week to Florida to be with her hubby so we had to have one last dinner all together!! We met at my house and had hamburgers, fruit, chips and a lot of girl talk :) We had such a great time catching up, although we were together just the week before, but it never gets old, even if we talk about the same stuff, they are such great girls (Melaina, Amy, Camille, Emmy). I'm going to miss Amy so so so much! I am so glad that we met while working at US Bank and stayed friends after. Amy, you best be coming and visiting us!! Oh yea, we will come to you too...I could use some beach time :)

Kennidi turns 8 months!!

Wow, where the heck has time gone? It feels just like yesterday that we were just bringing our baby girl home from the hospital and she is already 8 months tomorrow! Kennidi is such a smart little girl! She is waving, saying Momma, attempting to crawl, and wanting to feed herself. She loves bath time (and what kid wouldn't with all the silly bath toys she has), her puppies, her Mommy and Daddy, rolling all over the place, shopping with Mommy and Grammy and did I mention all her toys? Our living room, as well as my parents, looks like a baby showroom for all the newest toys/swings/activity centers.

Today Kennidi and I went to lunch with Melaina, Amy and Emmy and had a fabulous time catching up! Seeing Amy's little angel brought me back to when Kennidi was that little, wait, was she EVER that little? Ok she must've been! Seeing her now, growing up so fast makes me kind of sad. Where did my little tiny tike go? Ok, she is still my little tiny tike, she is just getting so big and really becoming a little person with her own wonderful personality (you can see my personality in her...watch out world, now there's two of us!!)

I can't imaging life without my princess and we are so lucky that she is such a happy little baby! We are so excited to see what the future holds for us and so happy that Kennidi is apart of our lives!!

Is it really only Tuesday?!?!?!?

Ok so its is only Tuesday but I am already excited for the weekend, not only because Anthony is home on weekends with the pups, Kennidi and I, but because we have a fun filled busy weekend in the wonderful weather! I stay home with Kennidi and the pups during the week. I feel so fortunate that I don't have to put my princess in day care and that I can be here with her to see all her milestones. I get so excited for weekends with Anthony because he can not only be home with us, but he can also see how Kennidi learns new things daily!!

As I sit in the house today (because the weather is crappy) I am getting so excited for the nice warm weather that is going to grace us with its presence this weekend. Because of the nice weather expected this weekend, we have come together with a few neighbors and are going to have a HUGE Garage Sale. Anthony and I have accrued a lot of crap during the years of living here and its about time to get rid of it!

Saturday is also my trainer's little girl's first birthday! Solana was born May 14, 2010 and it seems like yesterday when Alesha had her! Kennidi, my mom and I will be attending her first birthday party and we are so excited! I can't wait to see her cute little face as she digs in to her birthday cake! ( I will for sure be taking some pictures of her!!) Babies are so much fun to be around, especially when they get all messy :)

We are also going to be celebrating my birthday this weekend...although my birthday is on Monday the 16th! I don't know what is in store for me but I'm sure it will be wonderful just spending time with my family :)

Baby Kennidi!!!

Wow, it has been over a year since my last blog so its about time! So much has happened in the past year and Kennidi is the BIGGEST, yet smallest (because she is a tiny one) change! Kennidi Sophia Jensen was born on November 29, 2010 at 8:02 a.m. she weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce and was 19.25 inches long. You can definitely tell she is our baby since she looks like her daddy with my eyes :)

Kennidi was 9 days late so I had to be induced. I arrived at the University of Utah Hospital Sunday the 28th around 9:30 p.m. (I was supposed to be there at 9 but there was a HUGE snow storm that day...damn Utah!) Upon arrival I immediately changed and got hooked up to all sorts of beeping computers and monitors. The doctor on call came in and walked me through everything that was going to happen and told me that since it was my first baby I would most likely be delivering the next night...uh excuse me?!?!? I don't think so! Four hours after being "started" I had the option of an epidural...I graciously accepted! The epidural was a bit scary, and not because I'm just scared of needles. The doctor made me sit up to get the epidural. I immediately got sick and Kennidi's heart rate dropped from 140 bpm to 80 bpm!! All of the sudden about 20 doctors and 15 nurses rushed into the room and were turning me all different directions in order to get her heart rate back up. After about 5 minutes she was back around 140 but I had to lay down in order to get the epidural. At this point I didn't care if they needed me to stand on my head...I wanted that epidural!!

Hours past and my doctor arrived, probably around 7:30 a.m. and I was so ready to meet my princess! She told me that it could take a couple hours to get her out but I didn't want to wait that long! It took 15 minutes!! YAY ME!! I was really happy that it went so fast because my doctor had a scheduled C-Section around 9 a.m. and she wouldn't have been there to deliver Kennidi if it took much longer. Kennidi was absolutely perfect....except her umbilical cord was in a "true knot" which is less than a 1% change of having...but what is even weirder is that when I was born mine was the exact same way. The delivery could've ended in tragedy but she is here with us and is the most happy and healthy baby EVER!

We are loving having Kennidi in our lives and couldn't imaging life without her! She is so much fun and I love seeing her discover new things everyday!

Here are a few pictures of Kennidi from the last few months. Now that I don't work and I stay home with Kennidi I will be able to blog more often :)
