Is it really only Tuesday?!?!?!?

Ok so its is only Tuesday but I am already excited for the weekend, not only because Anthony is home on weekends with the pups, Kennidi and I, but because we have a fun filled busy weekend in the wonderful weather! I stay home with Kennidi and the pups during the week. I feel so fortunate that I don't have to put my princess in day care and that I can be here with her to see all her milestones. I get so excited for weekends with Anthony because he can not only be home with us, but he can also see how Kennidi learns new things daily!!

As I sit in the house today (because the weather is crappy) I am getting so excited for the nice warm weather that is going to grace us with its presence this weekend. Because of the nice weather expected this weekend, we have come together with a few neighbors and are going to have a HUGE Garage Sale. Anthony and I have accrued a lot of crap during the years of living here and its about time to get rid of it!

Saturday is also my trainer's little girl's first birthday! Solana was born May 14, 2010 and it seems like yesterday when Alesha had her! Kennidi, my mom and I will be attending her first birthday party and we are so excited! I can't wait to see her cute little face as she digs in to her birthday cake! ( I will for sure be taking some pictures of her!!) Babies are so much fun to be around, especially when they get all messy :)

We are also going to be celebrating my birthday this weekend...although my birthday is on Monday the 16th! I don't know what is in store for me but I'm sure it will be wonderful just spending time with my family :)

Baby Kennidi!!!

Wow, it has been over a year since my last blog so its about time! So much has happened in the past year and Kennidi is the BIGGEST, yet smallest (because she is a tiny one) change! Kennidi Sophia Jensen was born on November 29, 2010 at 8:02 a.m. she weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce and was 19.25 inches long. You can definitely tell she is our baby since she looks like her daddy with my eyes :)

Kennidi was 9 days late so I had to be induced. I arrived at the University of Utah Hospital Sunday the 28th around 9:30 p.m. (I was supposed to be there at 9 but there was a HUGE snow storm that day...damn Utah!) Upon arrival I immediately changed and got hooked up to all sorts of beeping computers and monitors. The doctor on call came in and walked me through everything that was going to happen and told me that since it was my first baby I would most likely be delivering the next night...uh excuse me?!?!? I don't think so! Four hours after being "started" I had the option of an epidural...I graciously accepted! The epidural was a bit scary, and not because I'm just scared of needles. The doctor made me sit up to get the epidural. I immediately got sick and Kennidi's heart rate dropped from 140 bpm to 80 bpm!! All of the sudden about 20 doctors and 15 nurses rushed into the room and were turning me all different directions in order to get her heart rate back up. After about 5 minutes she was back around 140 but I had to lay down in order to get the epidural. At this point I didn't care if they needed me to stand on my head...I wanted that epidural!!

Hours past and my doctor arrived, probably around 7:30 a.m. and I was so ready to meet my princess! She told me that it could take a couple hours to get her out but I didn't want to wait that long! It took 15 minutes!! YAY ME!! I was really happy that it went so fast because my doctor had a scheduled C-Section around 9 a.m. and she wouldn't have been there to deliver Kennidi if it took much longer. Kennidi was absolutely perfect....except her umbilical cord was in a "true knot" which is less than a 1% change of having...but what is even weirder is that when I was born mine was the exact same way. The delivery could've ended in tragedy but she is here with us and is the most happy and healthy baby EVER!

We are loving having Kennidi in our lives and couldn't imaging life without her! She is so much fun and I love seeing her discover new things everyday!

Here are a few pictures of Kennidi from the last few months. Now that I don't work and I stay home with Kennidi I will be able to blog more often :)
